After putting in close to 500 volunteer hours, Aircraft Skin and Structure Repair program instructors and students have finished refurbishing a full-scale model of Canada's infamous Avro Arrow airplane at the Reynolds-Alberta Museum in Wetaskiwin.
The project was completed to mark the 100th anniversary of powered flight in Canada and the 50th anniversary of the cancellation of the Arrow project. The 30,000 lb, 80 foot model of Arrow Mark 1 was pulled out of the hangar on July 10 and was on display for the public until early September.
